Setting Targets or Achievement Plans for 2020
Now is the time to start seriously thinking about the end of this year and the start of next year.
Setting Targets versus Achievement Plans
What’s the difference?
Good question!
I have always been ambitious and focus by having clear targets.
However, this needs to be backed up with plans and measurement.
I have tried using many systems and techniques, but found the most successful method is to use a simple Achievement Plan System
There are only 2 components
- A list of the areas where I want to have constant improvement
- A clear system for setting and measuring results
The to 5 basic elements I consider for Constant Improvement
Live the way that I want to.
Good health and energy.
Resources to pay for the lifestyle I want.
Feeling good about the contribution I’m making.
Having Fun and enjoying life.
For each of those areas, I use the following to develop a clear plan and the measures for how I’m going to improve.
A vision of the end result
Why I want to get there
Model or mirror how others have done it
Create short-term milestones
Evaluate progress to ensure use of the most effective strategies
Action to create momentum in the desired direction
Regular reviews make sure you stay on target.
By acknowledging achievements you are constantly improving the chances of success?
I hope you find that useful as we race towards the end of the decade!
If you would like more information or any element needs further explanation, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
